As long as they'd be in decent size and really well written. :P And by 'decent size' I mean at least 20k (better 100 *g*). I posted once a list of fanarts I dream of, so why not fics, too? Though I'm not sure if I'm really meaning them as prompts. Sure, if someone actually picks some I'll be beyond happy, but I'm not going to hold my breath in waiting. I'm just posting this as ideas, food for thought, is all. If it prompts discussion instead fics, I'll consider it success as well. For some of them I’m less keen than I used to be once, but I’ll write them down anyway. The order of the list is the order of acquiring the fandom.

If angels notice and pay attention every time someone speaks their name, then - given the size of the fandom - no wonder Castiel walks around with this permanent ran-into-a-lamp-post expression… Maybe he’s not as much unable to learn anything ever, as rather never given a chance to hear his own thoughts for a minute.

All I want for Christmas is art! What, once in a year I'm allowed to have a silly post, am I not?

A brief talk about superpowers and fantasy we had recently with [livejournal.com profile] alumfelga reminded me certain musings of mine. Fantasy as a genre is usually big on supernatural powers as a trope. Therefore it's obvious that the genre itself and literary analyses of it focus on supernatural beings. Actually, the only reason that fantasy has any non-supernatural ones is that they serve as the plain background for emphasizing the former and, usually, as the stake in the game – your everyday, mundane, tedious, unappreciated, apple-pie and making-ends-meet things that won't be there anymore if cool and interesting things from other dimensions take over the reality, which would be bad.

Okay, let’s go with catching up the season 11. I’m not sure if I really want, so in a way I’m back at the point I was a year and half ago: may the show speak for itself.

No to lecim z jedenastym sezonem. Nie do końca jestem pewna, czy mi się chce, więc poniekąd wróciłam do punktu startowego sprzed półtora roku: niech się dzieło broni.

We're used to what feminist research calls the “male gaze” turned on women; fandom turns the “female gaze” right back on men.
This isn’t the only quotable thing Katherine Larsen and Lynn S. Zubernis say in Fangasm: Supernatural Fangirls, but this one made me thinking about female gaze (on men) also in the canon itself. Would be interesting to gather examples, I thought.
