As long as they'd be in decent size and really well written. :P And by 'decent size' I mean at least 20k (better 100 *g*). I posted once a list of fanarts I dream of, so why not fics, too? Though I'm not sure if I'm really meaning them as prompts. Sure, if someone actually picks some I'll be beyond happy, but I'm not going to hold my breath in waiting. I'm just posting this as ideas, food for thought, is all. If it prompts discussion instead fics, I'll consider it success as well. For some of them I’m less keen than I used to be once, but I’ll write them down anyway. The order of the list is the order of acquiring the fandom.

fandom: Pirates of the Caribbean
general idea: crime story
characters: Jack Sparrow, James Norrington, maybe Anamaria or Will; obviously OCs in spades
I like crime stories in less typical settings, and the PotC fandom is (was?) not only lucky in quality writers, but also good in handling diverse genres; it has even an (excellent) monster horror. Still, I've never found a PotC detective/mystery story worth talking about. I had to write one at last, but matter of quality aside (not exactly sure if I'd pay myself for this *g*), it's not the same as reading someone other's fic. *sigh* I’m not picky about ideas. Does Norrington suspect Jack? (what else’s new…) Is it Norrington who’s accused and Jack holds the evidence of his innocence? Do they have to work together on the investigation? Maybe they need Anamaria’s expertise on something involving fishing, or Will’s on blades? Hating each other’s guts, no doubt, but with time coming to a grudging mutual appreciation. And I don’t mean a handwavy excuse for slash, but an actual plot. Must have at least one scene with Jack picking a lock while James is standing on watch, or rather fidgeting on watch, and asking himself what is he doing for sanity's sake... Jack is rolling his eyes, of course. “Don't get ya stockings in a twist and stop rushin' me. I did your office cabinet the other day in no time, and it had a way fancier lock.” “You what?!”

fandom: Urban Magic x The Dresden Files
general idea: Matthew and Harry have to work together; mutual Outsider POV on each other
characters: Matthew Swift, Harry Dresden, Bob, the Archive, maybe Murph (as the sounding board and trusty friend for Harry) and Butters (as the one pointing out Weird Scientific Details, complementing the Weird Magical Details pointed out by Bob), possibly some Wardens and the White Council (Merlin! *gleeful mwahaha* be merciful and give him some free days in countryside after this ends)
A summoning either goes wrong or (even better) it goes in the “you get what you wish, if not what you expect” way and Harry ends with the Midnight Mayor of London in the circle in his sub-basement. Okay, that's weird, even for standards of faeries (must be faerie with such eyes) and old European spells even Bob isn't familiar with. The presumable fae looks annoyed, which is not surprising, but next second weird becomes alarming, because 1. he steps out of the circle hardly noticing it (what???), 2. Bob sounds scared (oh shit), “Boss, for sanity's sake, and I mean it literally, DO NOT try soulgazing him! Also, may I come out and have a month of vacations on the other hemisphere?”, and 3. the guy is in a very focused manner steering at... a box of donuts left on the Little Michigan? Huh, confirmed faerie, though a tad big for a Little Folk...
The difficult (but also interesting) part would be accommodating the mechanics of universes; fortunately the core – 'life is magic' – is the same. Matthew would probably see Harry as one of the older, countryside sort of wizards, but himself would deny every rule Harry is used to.
I'd like also an encounter of Matthew and Ivy worked somewhere into the plot. I have a feeling the Archive would react to the angels like Bob, though more in the line of outrage than terror. From where she stands, they are an abomination, information mold, power without order, living chaos. Little Ivy, however, may be in quandary, because they have emotions and childlike curiosity... and they are the only of their kind, non-human but human-descended and living in the human world. It rings some bells...
Also, with the RPG-ish way Dresdenverse works, this would need establishing Matthew's place in its pecking order. Generally, Urban Magic's, um, magic is a little more subtle, but luckily for Matthew in Chicago, subtle and the angels don't belong in one sentence. When you add to it the sorcerer skills, I'd say we can have him on the level of the Senior Council or even the Ladies? Only with all the mortal advantages, of course. And as the cherry on the top, the human mind gives him the same unpredictable edge Harry has, while even more allergic to attempts of controlling.
All in all, they'd rather like than hate each other, as long as they wouldn't have to share the same city for more than a week or two. :)
Actually there exists a fic like this (well, without my opening scene and without Ivy so far), though it's incomplete. I don't really care, though, because I found it disappointingly mediocre in style...

fandom: The Dresden Files
general idea: Justine POV on Justine/Thomas
characters: I bet you won't guess :P
Ugh, a fix fic if ever was one... A classic case of “author failed disgustingly, so fic writers need to fill the gap”. It doesn't really need a plot, though I’d like it stretched over years, from their first meeting; I just want Justine's view on Thomas and their relationship, and it probably would work best in the 1st person narration. The thing is, it must be a Justine with personality, preferably the down-to-earth, slightly cynic yet determined, holding the lid on her (violent?) insanity Justine that glimpsed in Grave Peril, only to be buried later under the doe-eyed, mostly voiceless, ever-worried doll we have now. Obviously, this would need a high rating, since it's also one of those (not so often) cases, where sex scenes are essential for characterization. Mind you, the point is this should NOT be just fluff and fluff only, but on the other hand I DO NOT want them fighting beyond the pretty facade. It certainly may not be a mutually abusive love-hate thing. They are like crooked beams that make a safety hazard among good beams and fall when left alone, but can keep upright when supporting each other. That’s why it would need psychological insight and exceptional literary skills, because what I want is an intimate analysis of a thing that hardly fits the idea of a textbook relationship, but actually works and is the healthiest option for both of them, though wouldn’t be for others. In short, I want what the canon claims, but either never shows or shows the contrary.
As I see it, in spite of being (probably and roughly) one part of plot to nine parts of internal monologue it certainly doesn't have to be dull, even in +20k size. For one, what is the everyday logistics of being (and living?) together with the constant caution for casual and/or accidental touches?

fandom: Supernatural
general idea: Bela Talbot, that's all
characters: Bela, her cat, and either Dean or both Winchesters
Something plotty, preferably with Bela's POV and with lot of her working solo (because let's be honest, any team would only hinder her, and I bet she's perfectly able to a narration riveting enough to not need an interlocutor for a dialogue, in literary terms). Bela/Dean will be a nice ornament, as long as they won't end as some happy ever after OTP. :P I don't really have any particular idea beyond that, I just want more of what the canon ended too soon and the fandom as a whole never cared enough for to pick up.

fandom: Marvel Cinematic Universe
general idea: the Three Laws of Robotics
characters: Bucky Barnes (either the Winter Soldier or post-WS), Jarvis, probably OCs
If you're not familiar with the thing, here you have Asimov's Three Laws. A few fics raises a question whether Jarvis is bound by the Three Laws. The answer authors usually choose is he’s not, they prefer him as human as possible, and probably also decide Tony wouldn’t do it to him. While I’m not really convinced about canon!Tony, I do prefer him seeing Jarvis as more or less ‘live’ friend in fics.
Hydra, however, wouldn’t bat an eye. So, what if the Three Laws are a part of the Winter Soldier’s programming? Just swap ‘human’ for ‘handler’. The inconvenience of the WS not being useful against handlers who fell out of favour (because of the conflict of the Second with the First) could be fixed with a sub-clause that Hydra’s agent doesn’t by default equal handler and higher level handlers trump lower ones.
It’s open to interpretation how much Bucky himself is aware of that as something forced upon him (and therefore whether he struggles and how much succeeds), and if Hydra actually used Asimov’s idea or he never existed in the Marvelverse and they came up with this on their own. If Bucky is and Asimov existed, then the additional twist of irony would be if he – a sci-fi fan – could actually recognize it for what it is. The date of the Laws' first publication was 1942, so there’s some margin of possibility, albeit narrow.
Now, what I want is the interaction (preferably cooperation) and mutual views of a free Jarvis and a Laws-conditioned Bucky on each other (preferably with switching POV), their reflections about the matter and them coming up with ways to work around it. This would ideally need some long action plot. Does someone attack the Tower? Or Jarvis has a suit in the field? Or just jumps between Internet-connected devices? In any case this would demand skills for solid and clear plots, because Three Laws stories by their very nature rely on logic and finding loopholes in it.

fandom: Marvel Cinematic Universe
general idea: Pepper POV
characters: Pepper Potts, Tony Stark, Jarvis, maybe Happy and whoever is handy at the moment
You don’t achieve Pepper’s position without having observations and reflections on the way, not to mention growing up from a girl into a woman. I want to see how did she get her job and what has she been doing for years after that. What was her first day and first impressions of her boss? her workplace? her duties? How was it all changing? How was she changing? What exactly were and are her thoughts while visiting the labs? seeing out Tony’s one-night-stands? hiring and/or introducing new staff? (was it she who chose Happy?) How is her relationship with Jarvis? Does she consider him ‘real’? I hope so. In general, what is her workday like and when we’re at it, what are her free days like, if she even has any. Doesn’t really need a single consistent plot, but I want it long, not just a ficlet with one scene or a few, but a life story.
And after that a sequel – just the same, but with Pepper hiring Bucky as her bodyguard. I’m fond of this trope, but so far I’ve seen maybe one (and too short) fic I really liked.
