A quote instead of the author’s summary: ”I could've taken him,” Sam said, washing a paw with great deliberation. “You could not! You were all-“ Dean-kitten puffed his fur out to twice his size and hissed, “and he was all barking and drooling, and I was all-“ Dean yowled and clawed at the air in front of him, “and then he was all ‘Yipeyipeyipe!’” Dean bounced around on the bed.
My two cents: Writing SPN crack is not easy, because, y’know, it’s hard to tell it apart from the canon. This one fic succeeded, judging on that I laughed so hard I barely could keep reading. Also, it’s illustrated. Real pieces of art, those are. ^^

A Winter’s Tale by NorthernSparrow
~63,000; Gen; Teen and Up; Castiel, Dean Winchester, Sam Winchester
Author’s summary: Cas is sick and Dean finds a journal that Cas kept about his time alone as a human. This fic is a retelling of first half of S9 from Cas's POV (via Cas's journal). Lots of Cas angst/loneliness and a correspondingly equal volume of Dean guilt. Sick fic, hurt/comfort, journal fic, and a Christmas fic too. NO SLASH but the entire thing features a strong Cas/Dean friendship.
My two cents: One of those cases when fandom patches up the plot holes and logical & factual failures for the canon writers, because someone has to do some thinking here at last, dammit. NorthernSparrow has a tendency to swinging into extremities, so when it’s hurt/comfort, it’s actually tear-by-force-jerker/candy-floss-fluffy-tooth-rotter, but at the same time it’s also an exceptionally well thought-and-researched piece, written in a nicely flowing, drawing in style giving you the novel-like feeling. Also, I love her amazing author notes!

The Art Of Coming To The Rescue by ghostland

A quote instead of the author’s summary: “We’ve got Sam fucking Winchester in our safe room and his fucking brother probably on his way to kill us right the fuck now.”
My two cents: Outsider!POV. And lots of fun. Not for the OCs, though. :)

Author’s summary: Dean interrupts a hold up and is taken hostage. The bad guy doesn't believe him when he says his little brother is going to save him. Now up Ch2: the detective investigating the robbery meets up with Dean & Sam. Outsider POV.
My two cents: *cough* Yeah, again. But well written, I swear. ^^

Author’s summary: Derek has been in a lot of bad situations. This one easily makes the top five. Or would, if Dean and Sam Winchester were actually acting like the sadistic psychopaths he expected them to be. Instead, Dean is referencing Star Trek, Sam is comforting Reid, and Derek has never been more confused.
My two cents: I just really like Outsider!POV, okay? Especially LawEnforcementOnTheWinchesters!POV. And this is one of better.

Author’s summary: In which Sam and Dean mod a comm, the final SPN season is airing, Castiel is the newbie, fandom is obsessive as ever, and betaing is totally a metaphor for love.
My two cents: This is what you have to love fandoms for… Also, LJ. (Seriously, the intricateness of this whole thing is amazing, same as the amount of work it must have taken, not to mention the creativity in the first place.)

My two cents: This totally should be an episode. *g*

EO Challenge: Au Naturel by dizzojay

Author’s summary: As I celebrated a birthday last week, I've decided to treat myself to a triple bill of my very favourite subject matter: Winchester brothers minus clothes. So I guess I ought to post a T rated warning for - um - nudity and sauce ... and, there's even a plot, kind of.
My two cents: For the dialogue. I swear. XD However, I think it should either end on the first chapter, or be developed into an epic multichapter. Preferably the latter. :)


OTHER SUPERNATURAL THINGS
I’m not much into fanvids (as in: at all) but ash48’s stuff is an exception (or even the exception). It’s hard to pick only one (or two) of her all masterpieces (don’t overlook also her awesome metas!) , but I think these ones I’ve rewatched the most. I’m embedding, but the titles link to ash48’s own pages, where you can read her author notes, and of course, leave some much deserved love.

I’m sure you have already seen this repeatedly, but I said before I’m not assuming anything in these posts anymore, so: Supernatural Parody by The Hillywood Show and guest starring half of the SPN regular cast, stripping included. I’m not embedding, because it’s best in the big resolution, on their own page.

If you haven’t read Fangasm: Supernatural Fangirls by Katherine Larsen and Lynn S. Zubernis yet, you should. If you want to know why, here’s my review with quotes.

You know how they say SPN has a gif for everything? This blog proves it! :)

Have those scenes from "21 shades of Cas" really happened? I recognize some of them but... bees? Or "decadence"? :)

Yep, all "21 Shades" are 100% canonical.

*cough* Yes, about that... In season 7 his screws got a little looser than usual, which resulted in a period of loving his Dad's all artworks more than usual. Especially bees, for some reason. In 7.23 Survival of the Fittest Dean tells Sam, "Dude, on my car, he showed up naked, covered in bees." Only mentioned, never shown. Thankfully. I think some would protest, if they tried. Bees, most certainly. Impala, probably. Maybe even Misha.

"Decadence" is otherwise known as EndVerse!Cas. 5.04 The End (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9PYRY7XUIMQ), the question stays unsettled, whether it was the actual possibility of the future, as shown to Dean by another angel, Zachariah, or only the theather created by the said angel. Probably the latter, seeing as The End date passed over a year ago (celebrated, of course), and Castiel is still not in the least closer to that version, in spite of living the same and longer amount of time between humans. :P

Any others puzzling yet? :)

NOT FOR US! I mean, EndVerse at least was capable of irony and independent opinions... Come to think of it, he was permanently high, and still more brainy than not only the regular Castiel, but also all The End other characters combined.

Human!Castiel, season 9. He works at a gas station's shop (as shown in the "associate") and his boss asks him out. When he comes, complete with a rose, turns out she meant she already had a date, and just needed a babysitter. Not that any of Castiel's typical "people skills" (or lack of thereof) are to be blamed for the mistake; her wording just really was unclear in a rather clear way, so to speak. Later that evening he uses the rose to draw blood needed for painting a sigil (coincidentally the same sigil that's carved on his chest in "angel banishing"; it needs to be made in blood to work, and does just that - banishes angels. *points at her icon*)

Angel of the Lord is a compilation of the angelic features rather than any particular scene, I think. I'd say maybe the closest is this one (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zbZH_LoF5Es). A ring of holy oil fire is a way to trap an angel. He didn't pull out the sword and didn't show wings that time, though.

And he comes off as an idiot, even when it's other's fault... This was one of the most facepalming moments of the whole show. I was pissed in his stead, because he himself looked rather as kicked puppy. *sigh*

This (http://www.supernaturalwiki.com/index.php?title=Angel_Banishing_Sigil) is how the full version looks like. 100x100 was not enough to fit in the lettery-wriggly bits, and anyway if I wanted to keep the impression of drawing piece by piece the whole gif would be too heavy. :) The bloody hand slapped in the middle triggers the whole thing, which results in a blast of light.

And I'm ever more glad I stopped thinking "nah, too popular" and now I'm including everything. Sisters Hindi are amazing, aren't they? I loved their behind-the-scenes stuff too, not to mention other parodies.
