November cannot be sunny?

Most probably it's a Black-headed Gull (Chroicocephalus ridibundus), not particularly black here, cause in the winter plummage.
A haste change of clothes... or I'm just mistaken for the species. :} If I'm not, then the Polish name fits better this time: mewa śmieszka = laughing gull. On the other hand, it doesn't look particularly amused either... The southern Poland, 17 November 2012.

November is quite sunny here - when it isn't dark, but of course it's dark by 4.00.p.m. It is also extremely cold - the frost doesn't melt on the roofs all day. We saw some gulls in the park - on a lake with ducks and geese, really excited to find the walkers throwing bread and grain for them. But I didn't have my camera with me.

Sounds so very familiar. A few weeks ago I went out only to shop, and just before my nose, flit! a coal tit is landing and hopping all over a branch, less than a metre from me, not caring a damn...

(Great icon!)

We went to the park deliberately, but I knew I'd have my hands full with my grandson and his scooter, and we were really there to look at the autumn colours before they got blown away/off, so I left my camera at home!

The icon is from [livejournal.com profile] magic_art who do some lovely icons and banners (especially the seasonal ones) and are worth watching, even if you don't use them.

Nice comm, though considering what my profile states about my own icon policy, I doubt I'd get permission to join. *g* But they have some good links. I think I'd rather some comm for sharing icons, not only taking, yet on the other hand I don't have much to share anyway...

I also use [livejournal.com profile] roxicons. She does some lovely icons and is very willing to share her expertise. I can see that given your icon policy you might not be welcome... *g* And I see your point about sharing. I don't know if there are any comms like that. If I have icons to share I post them to e.g. fandom comms or on my own LJ. Plus, I think my f'list know that if they like my icon they can look at my list and if it's made by me they can take provide they credit.

This, so do I. Though actually I think it would be easier to find a nice icons & banners sharing comm than any real discussion comm on art, sharing links, talks on ideas and such. I tried and it seems there are only ones of 'Hey! Look what I've just painted!' sort...

Looks like my policy isn't so popular, with my 'I use only own, don't use what I use, thank you', and possibly can be confusing... Some time ago I decided to add the tag free graphics! (http://aletheiafelinea.livejournal.com/tag/free%20graphics%21) with rules in each post, hopefully this will be clear enough. :)
