The recs, apart being recs, are also prompts. If you write something inspired by these works, the link for your fic will be added to the entry.

Send me a Star-Noirstyle by KomyFly

Only one from the artist's very pirate gallery!
Read also a one-sentence fic inspired by the art, So Close Yet So Far by [livejournal.com profile] sharklady35

Tia Dalma by kelleybean86 aka Kelley Mc Morris

Seductive? :)

a wedding interrupted by RustyGrass33 aka Megan Dvorak

Just a sketch? The style is what makes this art.

So, anyone willing to see more recs? :)

Thanks for the recs, as always! I keep wondering each time what's to come next, and where do you dig so much up. =) 'Send Me a Star' by KomyFly is amazingly atmospheric, mmmm, and kellybean86's gallery is enviably inspiring (even though not pirate-y).

I hope I'll manage to keep your interest! ;D

Often when I come across a fine gallery, lured by a fanart, I'm torn between joy (so fine style!) and desire (it would be wonderful to get more fanarts from his/her!).

That Tia Dalma can look quite the minx when she wants to!

Aww, poor Liz! That scene always makes me want to cry. Or throttle Beckett.

But the prize this week definitely goes to 'Send Me A Star'. I interpret this as Jack getting a so-close-yet-so-far glimpse of his stolen ship, a year or two prior to CotBP. The sheer pathos of it makes me shiver!

I wonder who is she looking at. ;)

Leave him in the rain, throttle him, and leave him in the rain again.

I like your interpretation.
so-close-yet-so-far
Exactly! I love Jack like this. Oh yes, shiver-making... *sniff*

Perhaps Davy Jones before their falling-out.

Or possibly Jack. He'd said they go back a ways.

I see the nightly Jack is winning so far. Why I'm not surprised... ;D

Thank you and loads of hugs! I'm happy it's worthy of looking forward.

Please extend my thanks and wows to the folks featured here. The Star was fabulous and the Tia one is so much that part of the beach scene where she tells him "don't tell me you didn't enjoy it at the time". Funny and so flirty! The wedding scene was very lovely in the curvy lines and simplicity. What treats! More art, you have an excellent eye.

BTW, looks like it's a fine way to get a ticket on the Pearl. For Scarlett & Giselle it worked too... as long as the Pearl is waiting in the port. *g*

Aww, thanks, I hope my eye's choices will be enjoyed still. ;D

What a fun bunch this week! I love the sketch of Liz in the dress... the hair, the fabric, the expression on her face... lovely.

And the Tia one is SO CUTE. I dunno... I'd wink back at her... (and probably get myself in trouble.)

And that last one... that last one is giving me "Jack finding reasons to stop in at secluded ports and meet with James" feelings. We'll see how that goes. (It's such a lovely picture... all that contrast is awesome.)

Psst, if you like the artist's style, there's also Jack in the gallery. ;)

Teheee!!! I thought it before I reached the end of the line. *g*

The last one, ehem. We'll see, you say? May I hope, then? OK, looking forward. *smirk*

In accordance with your challenge, I have posted my one-sentence interpretation of 'Send Me A Star'. I hope you & KomyFly like it.

Wonderful! I don't know about KomyFly, but I do like it. :) And it's great to know it brought inspiration.

Ahem...
