Snatches of thoughts, pieces of images.
I've run recently into a meme which sparked my interest enough to try to do it. And maybe I'll infect someone? ;)
Here you can read the full list of questions for 30 Days of Pirates of the Caribbean by
ericadawn16. I highly doubt if I'll manage to keep the pace and to finish in a month, but I'll try to finish at all, at least... Doubting also if my brief and random musings can be interesting enough, I'll garnish them with eye-candies here and there. You know them all. So maybe you'll want to see them again. ;)
Comments warmly welcomed, possible discussion appreciated, spreading the fun most enjoyed!
So here's the first question.
1 - Who is your favorite character?
Definitely Ja... Captain Jack Sparrow!

Well, I didn't promise much novelty, so forgive me the lack of it. Anyway, I trust I'll find understanding. ;) Naming all of Jack's charms would be a neverending task, and maybe that's it? Maybe the greatest in him is just the richness of his character, the versatility. Jack is so very alive. And the most incredible and unique of phenomenons - that he's perfect and lovable not even despite his disadvantages, but due to them! All in Jack is un-cliché, unusual and unexpected, and that's his most dangerous weapon. For enemies and for fans...
Nevertheless, PotC consists of great and lovable characters. Two of them have a special place in my heart. It's not themain reason for my feelings, but anyway an interesting coincidence that they both were poorly treated by the canon...
No. 2, Commodore James Norrington

I have special sentiment for his Ex-Commodorial form, but it's impossible to divide his images, for me. They complement each other. It strikes me that in a movie founded on the idea of freedom, James is bound the most. Free the most, paradoxically, when in the bottom. And then, when trying to fix his life, it turns out there can be something even lower. Between all characters, he loses the most and his story is the saddest one. And the most unfair.
No. 3, Anamaria

She's the real Pirate Queen, for me. It's not so visible in the canon, all in all, but her last scene is worth of this title. I wonder what would be her story, if she wouldn't disappear between CotBP and DMC... and at the same time I'm afraid of moviemaker's ideas. Maybe it's the best for her, to leave her to the fandom only?
I'm quite embarassed that I'm not giving sources of photos, but I pieced them together so long ago... OK, two or three years... that I don't remember them. Forgive me, please.
This way to the question 2.
I'm curious of your thoughts and especially of your 30 Days, hmm? ;)
