...EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! :D

*thorough inspection of Crowley's shoes* Meh, okay, passable.

Aziraphale's socks! ♥

White & black feathers! ♥

Crawly is black! I'm headcanonically torn between black and green since forever, so I appreciate they took a side for me. XD Granted, black is visually more logical.

Adam might be more angelical, but at least the Dog looks proper.

So much fire and no Bentley? :( Then again, there's also not a single book, and it's already a crowded poster, so okay.

Also, great choice with the wine glass vs the tea cup. Overall, looks like there might be hope it won't be botched too bad.

*iz tentatively delighted*

LOL I was confused for a whole minute since when you have become a David Tennant fan and what did I miss ;)
Well, in these circumstances I might yet. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

So you're saying this will be good?
Depending on how much they keep to the book, and so far it seems they do better than it's typical with adaptations.

So, here's your chance! Convince me! Why do I HAVE to watch this, other than for the eyecandy?
Because Pterry at his finest, which is the reason enough. :3 And also Gaiman at his youngest, if one's a fan. Btw, Gaiman is the showrunner here, too, so it's Gaiman at his youngest and oldest at once. And because a bookseller angel with a flaming sword + a demon with very terrified houseplants, driving a Bentley on fire to a Queen soundtrack. The only way it's bad is if they change too much, and that's to be determined yet. :>

(will this be your first time seeing David? Seems it's a first for both of us then ;) )
Hmm, actually yes, it seems so? :)

So? Have we made a David Tennant fan out of you yet?

I have just watched the first two episodes. Not sure yet what to think of it. It's a lot of scenes that are loosely connected. Are they meant to be funny? Am I supposed to be laughing? Can't say it's my kind of humor. In general a bit too weird for my liking and something I'd normally not watch, but David certainly is worth it so I will continue.

I definitely like the relationship between Aziraphale and Crowley. They have great chemistry. Funny, I hadn't known Michael Sheen before but just some days ago I watched the movie "Passengers" and he was in it. He has a great English voice.

David is typical David. I love his voice and the things he does with it. And the way he walks, all lanky ;) That scene where he got up from the chair, so fluid... so, if we haven't made a fan out of you (yet?) it certainly has rekindled my love for him. I have neglected him badly during the past years, I should catch up with more new stuff and maybe rewatch some old stuff. He's really one of the best actors out there, so versatile.

Did you see that I actually stumbled into the Good Omens premiere when I was in London two weeks ago? We saw David getting out of the car and also Neil Gaiman and Mark Gatiss. Then we had to leave to catch Tom Hiddleston in theatre. I have some pictures here: https://dieastra.livejournal.com/328000.html

That's maybe a bit much to say, but he sold me on his Crowley. That's an ENORMOUS achievement on its own. :)

Yay! :D

I'm very happy to hear that! It can't have been an easy task, especially if you already had an image set in your head from reading the books. It's hard then to switch to a different interpretation.

If anything, at least now you know whom [livejournal.com profile] alumfelga and I talk about!

I remember when I was fairly new in the "Doctor Who" fandom and was fancying a different actor, and everyone was head over heals about David Tennant. I certainly didn't see the appeal, he's not the best looking guy out there, more goofy-funny. And lanky ;)

I only got into him when I did not watch him as the Doctor, but in various interviews etc., just beeing himself.

I have fancied and am still fancying a lot of other actors, and the more I add to my list the more I realize that I totally certainly have a type - and David most certainly isn't it. But he keeps blowing me away with his acting - and that wonderful voice. And in general being one of the most wonderful human beings possibly. Although I keep saying that about Tom Hiddleston as well ;)

Cute, though. And not best looking? Have you SEEN him sporting that academic robe few years back?! :D

Oh? Now where would you have seen that? You wouldn't have gone looking up more pictures of him after watching "Good Omens", now would you? ;)

I just watched his new three-part series "Des" where he plays a Scottish murderer (true story) and again he blew me away. There is nothing cute in that role though.

And he's still not my type though ;) During the pandemic I have added Robert Beltran as Chakotay in "Star Trek Voyager" to my list. Now THAT is my type!

This is an older picture, he is a bit older now but still looking good:

In [livejournal.com profile] alumfelga's post (https://alumfelga.livejournal.com/19678.html), though it looks like the best pics have already expired there. *sigh* One can always count on her when it comes to sharp dressed guys. :)

Not only he looks great, but the robe itself is great up close. ^^ Those thistles!

Is that so? I thought it's hard job but someone has to do it? ;D
