Exactly. And even a photo brought home is not always helpful. "Species A, if opposite leaf pattern. Species B, if spiral leaf pattern." Great, now if there was more than one leaf within the frame... Same with bugs. Entomological keys always want some element from the other side of the bug on the photo you have...
I just call them all 'the not-dandelions' and enjoy them.

*nods* Not exactly perfect circumstances for photos, and actually for any sightseeing, too. I know how it is. Still, the Lake District sounds very promising. I hope you have a great time!
