It's amazing how woods vary from country to country.
This! Even different ones in one country. I have my favourite places, but It's always exciting to see some new. You never know when and where you'll find your next favourite, after all.

Exactly. And even a photo brought home is not always helpful. "Species A, if opposite leaf pattern. Species B, if spiral leaf pattern." Great, now if there was more than one leaf within the frame... Same with bugs. Entomological keys always want some element from the other side of the bug on the photo you have...

I just call them all 'the not-dandelions' and enjoy them.
