Heh, I suspect he may want to avoid the usual problem of long series - somehow every possible trouble in the world happens to a handful of characters, and usually in a tiny town. Granted, now every possible trouble happens to Harry, but admittedly he is a trouble bait and growing one... Also, at least this way for every character one hates, one gets also a character to love. Eh, comparing to other series, Butcher does quite okay about most of them. It's actually impressive, juggling dozens of them this way. Still, some could really use more attention. I mean, for Justine's role in the whole picture she really deserves better, not just as Justine-because-we-fans-demand-it, but as a character essential for characterization of another one. I only hope all this means her true time in the series is still coming yet.

(Butters) is consistently described as having a big nose.
Now, when you say this, it made me stop and think, because... I haven't ever noticed that. No, really, I don't remember even a single time. If I was to say what is Butters in such repetitive description terms (oh yes, Butcher does it all the time, with everyone), for me he's "tiny guy with crazy hair, also, did I mention crazy hair?".

But I would love some Molly/Harry fic. Where she bosses him around *cough*in bed*cough*.
