Ah I see your point re J/T. I wonder why he keeps adding new characters instead of expanding on the ones we already care about. Enough world building, get to the plot already. I especially felt like the last book was Butcher's fantasy of writing Oceans 11 with nowhere near enough plot advancement.

When I say white male, I mean- well, he's a white male and he writes from that perspective. Can't fault him for that, although he *could* learn a few lessons. For example, the one Jewish character (Butters) is consistently described as having a big nose. As a Jew, I gotta say that's really kinda gross. He doesn't do a great job with minorities in general, but I give him a pass on a lot of that bc I love the world he did build. And overall, yeah, I love his women and I don't necessarily believe Harry's somewhat antiquated view of feminism is also Butcher's per se.

I know what you mean about big fandoms, they get nuts. But I would love some Molly/Harry fic. Where she bosses him around *cough*in bed*cough*.
