Rectober 2015 - surprise fandoms

Revealed today.

For the record, I’m not a fan of any of these (though some fandoms I may like more than others). These are just artpieces I happened to stumble upon and like just for their appearance, here in a totally random order.

FANART

Multifandom: Happy Valentine II by GraphiteDoll. Not too early at all. :)

Aubreyad: Testudo Aubreii by Leopreston aka Leona Preston. OK, I’m not really sure if I like it, but I thought it deserves reminding, for the sake of the good old LJ times… *g*

Marvel: Iron Cat, Thor Cat, Hawkeye Cat by dailycatdrawings :3

Harry Potter: Inktober #7 Errol the Owl by C7colours

Marvel: Oh look, a Loki fanart, that’s unusual. by Nimloth87

Disney: A sight lovely to see by shoomlah. Kitty! :3 (It’s a part of a series.)

Doctor Who/Oz: Planet of Oz by angelsquaro. Ow, let go this poor Lion this instant! XD

Marvel: [Being on the Cap Squad is serious business] by doomcheese (scroll down; the header is not what I mean)

Temeraire: Volatilus (Volly) and James by DanielGovar. Or perhaps I like the uncolored version better? (In the artist’s comment.)

Walking Dead: Walking Dead Michonne 2 by DanielGovar

Disney/Spiderman: [doodles] by samanthadoodles. That first one… XD

Marvel: Hawkeye by Namecchan

Harry Potter: Bellatrix Lestrange by Michelle-Winer

Disney: [princesses] by neverbirddesigns aka Hannah Alexander

The Walking Dead: The Walking Dead - Halloween by maXKennedy

Marvel: The Avengers – Don’t go by maXKennedy

Temeraire/Hornblower/Narnia: Onwards by vitellan

Disney: Grumpy Disney by TsaoShin

101 Dalmatians: cruella by sakimichan

Star Trek: [untitled] by 19cam85 aka gorlassar

Marvel: cold by evankart

The Vampire Diaries: Town Witch by feelthesky

Howl’s Moving Castle/Multifandom: Fandom Moving Castle by nokeek (Also FMC Explanation.)

Game of Thrones/Jurassic World: [Eyes on me Drogon!] by Malin Falch

Doctor Who: Procrastinate V2 by Bamboota. Apparently this has a few versions (2, 3).

Game of Thrones: Mother of Dragons by escume

Sherlock (BBC): Tea by escume. If I look at Benedict Cumberbatch and think “That’s pretty!” this must mean Truly Great Art… *ducks*

Doctor Who: The Doctor on Halo by Ipid

Marvel: [untitled] by when-it-rains-it-snows NSFW (Holy cows, this artist’s whole blog has me almost converted to superhero-ism. Alas, I’m afraid it’s not going to look so in the canon. That’s the thing with fanarts…) (Ei, I mean the drawing style, okay? ...mostly.)

Ghost Rider: Ghost Rider by Adnan Ali

Game of Thrones: Winter Has Come by James Bousema

Doctor Who: Doctor Who Fanart by Lucas Terra

Marvel: Bucky by op.sci

How to Train Your Dragon: How to train your Dragon by Culpeo-Fox

Doctor Who: Doctor’s Treatment - miniature by Cataclysm-X

Sherlock (BBC): Welcome Home… by Syllirium

The Brave: Princess Merida by Ventapane

Princess Mononoke: Mononoke by DanielaUhlig. See? There’s a way to make me like anime: make it looking less anime.

Game of Thrones: Hear Me Roar! by AkiYun

Assassin’s Creed: Assassin’s Creed Fanart by kerembeyit

Next to come:
other, non-Rectober posts. That was the last of the series! :) (Uff)

If I look at Benedict Cumberbatch and think “That’s pretty!” this must mean Truly Great Art… *ducks*

*laughs so hard* this is a brilliant description XD And those were some truly lovely fanarts :D I adored the Iron Cat and the art with Bucky. :) (And Cumberbatch-like-Sherlock did look oddly well in this art too XD)

[identity profile] aletheiafelinea.livejournal.com 2015-11-04 10:04 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, so I'm not about to being beheaded? That's a relief... *g*

Iron Cat
I added the others because, well, a series, but the one I loved was actually this one. XD And Bucky ones (these and 90% of others I keep coming across) are damn close to converting me to Marvel as well...

[identity profile] andrea-deer.livejournal.com 2015-11-05 08:21 pm (UTC)(link)
I'd never behead anyone for calling Cumberburger less than pretty ;D Though I might be on the "to kill lists" of a few Cumberbitches myself for that sin D:

[identity profile] aletheiafelinea.livejournal.com 2015-11-05 09:43 pm (UTC)(link)
I promise a shelter here in such case. :)

[identity profile] alumfelga.livejournal.com 2015-11-04 10:21 pm (UTC)(link)
The idea! <3

Namecchan's whole gallery is just wonderful.

The Avengers - Don't go
That's a nice concept. (If you're being so brave about Benedict, can I just say I'll never understand the craziness about Loki's hair? He looks so much better as blonde or fair brown.)

I like Onwards, it's beautiful.

cruella
...That would be an entire new movie :D

Fandom Moving Castle
*falls in love*
Is it a test for what fandom you love most at the moment? And first thing you look for in the picture is the answer.

I might like Howl's Moving Castle the movie slightly more now...

Doctor's Treatment - miniature almost made my list. I'm happy it made yours :)

Princess Merida Wow.

Planet of Oz I think I've seen it on a t-shirt. It still amazes me how you can cross Doctor Who with practically anything.

Iron Man cat is better than Iron Man!

The idea! <3
Of what? :D Some particular one you forgot to point, or this whole post?

The Avengers - Don't go
That's a nice concept.

Touching. *sniff* And I love how it uses the visual language.

(If you're being so brave about Benedict, can I just say I'll never understand the craziness about Loki's hair? He looks so much better as blonde or fair brown.)
*shrug* I don't even get the craziness about his general looks. The good actor part I get (at least in theory, because I had no opportunity to make my own opinion yet), but the oh-so-hot! part...? Yeah, I know, brainy and all that... Still don't get. He looks like a cunning rodent on good photos, and sad rodent on less good...

I like Onwards, it's beautiful.
Uhum, another case of 'simple yet impressive'.

cruella
...That would be an entire new movie :D

I want! :D (Even though I've never actually seen the original one, had only the book.)

Is it a test for what fandom you love most at the moment? And first thing you look for in the picture is the answer.
Well, Jack is on the very top, it's natural he draws the eye... XD

Doctor's Treatment - miniature almost made my list. I'm happy it made yours :)
First, I love miniatures in general (and I like this artist's idea for showing the scale in the whole gallery), and second, it's a rare one when he actually does look hot, and not only brainy... ;D

Iron Man cat is better than Iron Man!
So very much YES! XD

ETA
I forgot. In 19cam85's check out the dr who (http://19cam85.tumblr.com/tagged/dr%20who) tag. ;)

Of what?
To make a post with arts from fandoms you're not a part of.

The good actor part I get (at least in theory, because I had no opportunity to make my own opinion yet), but the oh-so-hot! part...?
For me, it's connected :) Good acting is magnetizing, and magnetizing look plus nice clothes and actors' natural good looking make hotness. I'm not a big Hiddleston fan but I've been magnetized on Coriolanus and it's always in the back of my head when I look at him.

He looks like a cunning rodent on good photos, and sad rodent on less good...
He does, a bit :D

Even though I've never actually seen the original one, had only the book.
Wait, there's been a book?!

Well, Jack is on the very top, it's natural he draws the eye... XD
I know someone who noticed a Dalek but overlooked the TARDIS. I don't know what to think :D

second, it's a rare one when he actually does look hot, and not only brainy... ;D
Funny, for me, it's a rare one when he doesn't look as hot as usual :D I prefer that one much better: http://cataclysm-x.deviantart.com/art/21-cents-worth-Doctor-Who-208343965

In 19cam85's check out the dr who tag. ;)
Thanks! The style is not my thing but the "blonde!" picture... :D

To make a post with arts from fandoms you're not a part of.
1. Art is art, as far as I'm concerned.
2. Recs are always for others anyway, so... :)
3. It's quite typical for me to be allured to a fandom by its fanarts, so... ;D

Not that I don't agree in general, and I guess most of my 'meh' would be gone if I saw him in action, so to speak, but:
Good acting is magnetizing - checked (I guess)
nice clothes - checked (as long as we're not talking that horned helmet... >_< )
actors' natural good looking - well... I'm agreeing to disagree. ;)

Wait, there's been a book?!
Dodie Smith (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dodie_Smith)
I had this edition (http://www.antykwariat.waw.pl/ksiazka,1046454/dodie_smith_101_dalmatynczykow,174924.html). :3

I know someone who noticed a Dalek but overlooked the TARDIS. I don't know what to think :D
Dalek messed their mind with some alluring-magnetic-rays-whammy and TARDIS was too modest to impose herself.

I prefer that one much better
Nice, too, but I like it more without Eleven there. :)

Thanks! The style is not my thing but the "blonde!" picture... :D
Thought so. *g*

Basically my opinion on Doctor Who ;)

[identity profile] aletheiafelinea.livejournal.com 2015-11-08 08:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Basicaly what I gathered so far. ;D

[identity profile] dieastra.livejournal.com 2015-11-04 11:49 pm (UTC)(link)
I have a shirt with that procrastinating Dalek. The blue/white version. I love it. It fits me so well ;)

I also have a shirt with "Exterminating in the rain": http://jowed.com/images/ss/3b92d7/cd49ff760619986533f07bf9fed0e8da.jpg

[identity profile] aletheiafelinea.livejournal.com 2015-11-04 11:59 pm (UTC)(link)
It fits me so well ;)
I think it fits us all, even those who never heard of Daleks. XD

I also have a shirt with "Exterminating in the rain":
Truly British! :D

[identity profile] dieastra.livejournal.com 2015-11-05 12:03 am (UTC)(link)
Here is a funny story regarding that shirt and Tony Curran, the guy who played van Gogh in Doctor Who ;)

[identity profile] aletheiafelinea.livejournal.com 2015-11-05 07:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Heh, I bet he'd have remembered if the shirt was better visible on the photo. :)

[identity profile] dieastra.livejournal.com 2015-11-06 10:00 pm (UTC)(link)
True ;) I love to hug my guys.

[identity profile] aletheiafelinea.livejournal.com 2015-11-06 10:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Who could ever think shortening their memory can be the price of it. :D

[identity profile] dieastra.livejournal.com 2015-11-06 10:16 pm (UTC)(link)
With those long lines and lots of faces, it is actually impressive when someone DOES recognize you again, even years later.

[identity profile] aletheiafelinea.livejournal.com 2015-11-06 11:07 pm (UTC)(link)
That's true, I have a lot of admiration for them for this!

[identity profile] margaret-r.livejournal.com 2015-11-05 09:15 am (UTC)(link)
Still trying to catch up!!

Some really nice artwork here, worth looking at even if I'm not into the fandom. But yes, um, yes, Benedict Cumberbatch is both very pretty and totally Great Art ...

[identity profile] aletheiafelinea.livejournal.com 2015-11-05 07:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Still trying to catch up!!
And I keep making it harder recently. :}

But yes, um, yes, Benedict Cumberbatch is both very pretty and totally Great Art ...
I see we have a perfect understanding here. *g*

I love love love that How to Train Your Dragon one! <3 Toothless :)

[identity profile] aletheiafelinea.livejournal.com 2015-11-07 05:28 pm (UTC)(link)
What took me was his friend's expression. XD I love this artist's style.

The whole composition is just brilliant! :) I also rather like the Bucky picture. Not my fandom at all, but I do admire a man who can sulk and pout simultaneously ;)

[identity profile] aletheiafelinea.livejournal.com 2015-11-07 11:39 pm (UTC)(link)
Huh, so it's not more or less the same? *discreetly pats pockets for her Non-Native Speaker's Notepad*

[identity profile] anteros-lmc.livejournal.com 2015-11-08 12:26 am (UTC)(link)
They are more or less the same, though pouting is a bit more....enticing ;}

[identity profile] aletheiafelinea.livejournal.com 2015-11-08 03:42 pm (UTC)(link)
*scratches head* Ah... okaay. I hope I'll be able to tell the difference when I see it. :D

If I look at Benedict Cumberbatch and think “That’s pretty!” this must mean Truly Great Art…

This!

What can I say... *g*

Awesome art -- thanks for linking me!

If I look at Benedict Cumberbatch and think “That’s pretty!” this must mean Truly Great Art… *ducks*

LOL -- so much this. *g*

Pleasure is mine! :)

I seem to have a talent for sacrileges... XD
