I adore the Lindsey Davis series. It gets better and better. Falco's immediate family expands and we get more and more in depth exploration of what it must have been like living in that time. There are 'big' events and people referred to but they never overshadow the intricate details, or the murder mysteries. The author's research is great, and her humour is so nicely understated and warm. Carry on reading - you won't be disappointed!
