Oh, clever piratista! Famously convoluted I might add in the large and endearing tradition of our captain! Now can't tell you how tickled this has made me and how truly I enjoyed Jack's discovery or rather watching Jack's face upon his discovery. That was a treasure and his meticulous refolding so much like him. Oh and best description of his concentration... a cat with a flea! Wonderful absolutely!

Most folks don't write horses well, but I saw this handsome one quite clearly... and Jack is funny when he's all skittish and jumpy!

So much wonderful in this story and thank you kindly for posting more. I'm all happy cos I love your language, I love the path you've set me on and questions raised from one being settled.. now that's just cherry. Please make more twists and turns...I'm loving it.
