Heh, as for myself, the almost-caricatural style is what I like in this art the best. Looks like some book illustrations.

And repeatedly... XD I can see Jack mutinying at last. 'Enough! And not even a droplet of rum, eh???'
I like the ambidextrous Jack. After all, that's the only way I can accept this poster (http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/e/e8/Pirates_3_AWE_Poster_International.jpg), without saying 'Eww, Disney's people should come sober to work...'

I definitely detect resemblance to the Old Masters!
Fits the Old Pirate, doesn't it? :)
