I suspect Jack keeps at least one in his cabin on the Pearl, too- he's obviously vain enough.

I must say, you're making this story more intriguing with every chapter.
You keep telling the most wonderful things. Laminated, you say? I thought about an impregnate of sort, resin based or whatever, but a laminated sheet is a dangerously inspiring idea, I'm sure Jack would be delighted and found plenty of uses for it. ;>
