Request for a beta reader. Help?
Almost a year ago, I asked for help and got it. I'm most grateful to
triskellion for her fine work. Alas, her busied real life doesn't let her engage in longer texts. So I'm asking for your attention once more and, unsure if your kind offers from before year are still actual, I decided to post a general request again.
This time, I'm looking for someone willing to help with one particular fic (though, of course, other things in future are always possible, if you'll be interested).
PotC fandom, a multichapter fic. I'm definitely not an urgent co-worker (being a slow writer myself), but still, please, consider if you have enough time. You can expect about 40-60 thousands of words overall, 2 to 5 a chapter.
Up to PG-13 (I suppose so), mostly Jack Sparrow and mostly his POV (third-person narration, though), plenty of OCs, a few cameos of some canon characters.
A non-pairing fic; well, there will be some minor innuendos, but anyway I suppose I should call it a gen fic. It's supposed to be a crime story, sort of. I'm afraid I'm pathologically reluctant in giving detailed summaries, but in short, Jack Sparrow's fellow mate is found killed in Tortuga. Jack, feeling vaguely and unexpectedly guilty and unsure if he could prevent this death and, last but not least, having reasons to suppose that he himself can be the next target on the list, tries to investigate 'who' and 'why'. Set in Tortuga and Hispaniola, months before CotBP. If it can help, here's my map for this fic. (click for the full resolution)

The fic is in writing, mostly written, available online, but it's in my native language. I want to post it in English and I would never risk posting an unbetaed translation, not of this size. So this is what I need from you the most: the attention for grammar and lexical problems. You can see my English texts, betaed and not, here: SPARROW, Light, Just another step, [untitled], Fair trade, Debt, Do you fear?
I don't ask you for a headlong jump into unknown waters. Let's agree that if you tentatively say 'Hm, I can possibly be interested in this', I won't demand any promises and obligations from you at this moment. I'll send you the first chapter of the translation and we'll see how do you like it and how the cooperation turns out. If you'd like to try, send me PM or leave your e-mail in the comment (they're screened).
Have you any questions? And would you be willing to help this to not to be a crime story about a murder of English language? :)
